Every girl needs a cute smart casual or even formal outfit in her closet. Whenever you find yourself in a position where you have to dress formally but want to look good at the same time do not fret!
Obviously guys have it so much easier when it comes to formal attire. All they need to do is pick out a suit, put on a white shirt and a tie and they end up looking amazing without even trying! Suits weren't really created for women to wear so we had to come up with own men-inspired styles.
Here are a few ideas you could try out yourself!
This is a photo (a bad one) of an outfit i wore for the BUMUN2010 event we had last year (Bahrain Universities Model United Nations) I was only a Runner so i opted for a simple white shirt and a simple black skirt with a black belt to give it a little flare. I settled for some black flats because i ended up running around all day and heels would have killed me after about 8 hours of constant running around.
Shirt: Mango
Skirt: Zara
Belt: A little boutique in Thailand
Flats: Gucci
This is Aysha's outfit on the first day of BUMUN2010. Because she was the Delegate of Japan she had to dress a bit more formally. Here shes wearing a suit (yay for colors) and a cute simple black top. She paired the outfit with some black heels.
Suit: ZARA
Top: H&M
Bag: Pierre Cardin
Necklace: Mckenzie
Ring: Class ring
These two photos are examples of a girly-er look. Pair a single colored dress (preferably with sleeves so it makes it look more professional) with some heels and/or a belt set at the slimmest part of your waist.
Last idea I'm writing about is this men-inspired outfit. Vests used to be a men only item and no one woman would dare wear it but recently we've been seeing a lot of vests tailored to a womans body. They now come with ruffles and buttons and are made to suit a womans curves. A nice pair of pants and some heels to stand out and you're all set!
